Since April 2020, with programs ranging from food donations to sponsorships, Faqra Catering has become synonymous with acts of philanthropy, with charitable initiatives going beyond food donations and contributing to the education and development of Lebanon's youth.
Our CSR program NAWAT came to life, as our intention to do good and give back to society, while NAWAT also represents a solid inner part of a fruit, which is the fruit of our commitment to giving back to our community, reinforced through the following three pillars:
1. Societal, with Food Donations, Event Organization, and Talent Management.
2. Economical, by supporting local businesses affected by the Beirut Blast, in collaboration with Nation Station and Rise Up Lebanon.
3. Environmental, through:
• A Recycling Program with Arcenciel for glass and paper.
• A Food Composting and Waste Management Program, by donating food waste to local farms.
• Supporting Green & Bio Vendors.
CATERING TO NGOs
Faqra Catering has been providing several NGO organizations with food meals, through teaming up with the civil society to feed the less fortunate families during these critical times. This collaborative effort provides an effective and efficient solution to the serious and growing problem of hunger in Lebanon.
Since April 2020, our passionate team has been cooking with all the care and love, enabling us to deliver more than 1,000 meal portions per day, covering 87,349 meals to date.We distribute meals to those in need, while asking the community to be more mindful of the food they let go to waste, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
All our meals are prepared following the rigid and sound requirements of HACCP & ISO 22000 standards, along with the new added requirements of the anti-coronavirus measures provided by GWR.
Faqra Catering is one of the first organizations that applied to have the new anti-coronavirus measures implemented as a promise to its clients and the community to always serve them nutritious, delicious and healthy meals.
Our meals are transported in refrigerated vans that provide the required temperature to preserve the quality and safety of all meals. Our drivers follows the new measures of safe handling while sanitizing their hands before delivering the meals. All our packages and meals are also sanitized before being dispatched to the clients’ premises.
Besides catering to NGOs, Faqra Catering has organized kids and family events with Bassma and Ecole Secondaire des Soeurs de la Charité to spread joy and draw smiles on people’s faces.
We have also teamed up with Dafa, during the holy month of Ramadan, to provide a full Iftar menu served to families in need.
